In a poignant moment on America’s Got Talent: All-Stars (AGT: All-Stars), 14-year-old Darius Mabda, winner of Romania’s Got Talent Season 12, was visibly overcome with emotion as he stepped onto the stage. Hailing from Oradea, Romania, Darius had dreamed of performing on the AGT stage since childhood. His nerves were evident as he tearfully expressed, “I’m so nervous because this is my first time in America, and it’s my dream to be here.”
Despite his initial anxiety, Darius delivered a mesmerizing performance set to Shawn Mendes’ “In My Blood,” showcasing a blend of acrobatic and contemporary dance that captivated both the judges and the audience. Judge Heidi Klum lauded his performance, stating, “You really are incredible. You’re borderline a contortionist, also.” Howie Mandel compared him to legendary figures, saying, “You’re a cross between Nadia Comăneci and Baryshnikov.” Simon Cowell acknowledged Darius’s journey, remarking, “You were so nervous, Darius, and then you started… and then it all changed. I have a lot of respect for you.”
Although Darius did not advance to the finals, his appearance on AGT: All-Stars highlighted his exceptional talent and the emotional journey of a young artist chasing his dreams on a global stage.
